Area we serve

Wholesale tire distributorin the Mauricie

Pneus Distribution supplies garages and resellers across the Mauricie from 1800 5e Avenue, in Grand-Mère. What sits on our floor ships from here; the rest is ordered from our own distributor.

A warehouse, not a listing

The goods really are in Grand-Mère. Every size shows what is here today and what comes from the distributor.

Garages first

A garage or a reseller opens an account and gets a rate negotiated with us, make group by make group. The public buys too, at the posted figure.

The region, then the rest

Shawinigan, Grand-Mère, Trois-Rivières and the towns between them are our core area. Elsewhere in Quebec we ship too, with no date announced.

A request, not a till

You send your request from the site. We confirm it with you, and both handover and settlement happen away from the site.

The region

What “the Mauricie” means for an order

The Mauricie follows the Saint-Maurice river, from its mouth at Trois-Rivières up to the northern forests. It is a very large and very unevenly settled territory: most repair shops sit along the axis joining Trois-Rivières to Shawinigan, and that is exactly where we are.

Our warehouse is in Grand-Mère, a sector of the city of Shawinigan. For a shop in Shawinigan, in Trois-Rivières or in a neighbouring town, that means two concrete things: the goods do not have to cross the province, and a pickup can be arranged with us.

The farther north you go, the more distance weighs. The Haut-Saint-Maurice, around La Tuque, does belong to the Mauricie on the map, but it is much farther from here than Trois-Rivières. We ship there the way we ship anywhere else in Quebec, without posting a date we could not keep.

We would rather put it that way than advertise fast shipping across the whole region. A shop whose customer is waiting on a car has no use for a round promise. It needs to know where it stands, and that is what each size tells it on its own page.

The territory

The six territories of the region

The Mauricie splits into two cities, three regional county municipalities and one agglomeration. Here is what each one changes for an order, and what it holds.

  • Shawinigan

The city we are in. Since 2002 it has joined seven former towns, one of them Grand-Mère, where our warehouse stands. It is the only place a pickup can be arranged.

  • Trois-Rivières

The largest city in the region and its densest cluster of repair shops. We hold no premises there: goods are delivered from Grand-Mère.

  • MRC des Chenaux

Between the two cities, along the river: Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, Saint-Maurice, Saint-Narcisse, Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade. Squarely in the core area.

  • MRC de Maskinongé

West, toward Lanaudière: Louiseville, Saint-Boniface, Saint-Étienne-des-Grès, Yamachiche, Saint-Alexis-des-Monts. Louiseville is indeed in the Mauricie, contrary to what is often written.

  • MRC de Mékinac

Northeast, climbing: Saint-Tite, Sainte-Thècle, Hérouxville, Grandes-Piles. Distances stretch out, the area stays served.

  • Agglomération de La Tuque

La Tuque, La Bostonnais and Lac-Édouard, far to the north. In the Mauricie on the map, much farther in practice: we ship there as we do elsewhere in Quebec.

What is not in the Mauricie, though it is often filed there

Bécancour, Nicolet, Drummondville and Victoriaville sit in the Centre-du-Québec, on the far bank, not in the Mauricie. The mix-up has a cause: until 1997 the administrative region was called Mauricie–Bois-Francs and covered that ground. Berthierville belongs to Lanaudière.

None of that changes what we can do for a shop located there: we ship anywhere in Quebec. It only changes what this particular page is entitled to claim.

How it works

How a Mauricie garage orders

Four steps, no surprises. Nothing is charged along the way: the site exists so we can agree on what leaves and for how much.

  1. 01

    Find the size

The catalogue can be browsed by size, by make and by season. The lookup takes the size exactly as it is written on the sidewall.

  2. 02

    Open an account

A garage or a reseller signs up. We set its rate, make group by make group, and it then shows on every size.

  3. 03

    Send the request

It reaches us with your quantities and your sizes. We confirm it with you before anything else happens.

  4. 04

    Agree on the handover

Pickup by arrangement in Grand-Mère, or delivery. We set the moment together, based on what is here and what must come from the distributor.

The other area pages

Three pages round this one out, and each answers a different question.

  • Tires in Shawinigan

Shawinigan is the one place a pickup can be arranged. It is set up with us ahead of time, never by showing up unannounced.

  • Tires in Trois-Rivières

Goods leave our floor and travel to you. Trois-Rivières falls inside the area we cover most often.

  • Delivery in Quebec

Nowhere do we write a number of days for a distant region. Timing is agreed order by order.
